It’s great to know that my two favorite tech companies (Apple & Google) are both publicly against California’s  Prop 8!

Apple - Hot News - No on Prop 8 - October 24, 2008

Apple is publicly opposing Proposition 8 and making a donation of $100,000 to the No on 8 campaign. Apple was among the first California companies to offer equal rights and benefits to our employees’ same-sex partners, and we strongly believe that a person’s fundamental rights — including the right to marry — should not be affected by their sexual orientation. Apple views this as a civil rights issue, rather than just a political issue, and is therefore speaking out publicly against Proposition 8.

I’ve been playing Thievery Corporation’s latest release Radio Retaliation on my iTunes all day today in the office and I’m really lovin’ it!

I never used to be into electronic music, but it’s been growing on me lately and this record is one of my favorites already! Highly Recommended.

N9th & Driggs (after the fix-up), originally uploaded by hragvartanian.

I spotted this on Monday on my way to work, but today only 2 days later, I ran into the developers taking it down.

Only they must have liked it and took my advice to put it back up!
Later in the day I noticed they had moved it to another spot and put it up more securely than the artist themselves!

I’m glad they realized that (almost) anything is better than looking at those awful plywood walls!

After a few failed attempts at starting my blog, I’m finally staking out a place on the web for myself at veken.org.

I don’t consider myself to be a prolific “writer” or “content creator” but hopefully this blog will give you a little window into my life and ideas, and help me share some of the cool things I see everyday.

Thanks to Hrag for inspiring me and encouraging me to get this started. I’ll try to keep up with him, but I don’t think it’ll be much of a contest ;)
